The Federation of Plastering and Drywall Contractors (FPDC) asked Campbell Marsh to create a new website for its annual Plaisterers’ Awards, to enable entry submissions to be easily managed online.
Now in its 65th year, FPDC’s prestigious Plaisterers’ Awards is the industry’s premier celebration of skill and quality craftsmanship in the plastering, drywall, screeding and steel framed system sectors.
Campbell Marsh recommended that FPDC should adopt a paperless approach to the award entry process, using a brand new e-commerce website specifically to handle submissions and payments.
We designed and developed a fresh, modern interface backed up by robust and reliable WordPress technology which is simple to maintain and update. The site is easy to navigate around, with clear links to explanations of the different award categories, details of how to enter and the online application and payment form. A significant advantage is that the new web-based process is much more efficient. Entries are received electronically, making them much easier to administer than large volumes of hard copies, and entry fees are transferred directly and securely via PayPal, eliminating the need to handle cheques.
With heavy promotion of the new Plaisterers’ Awards website through FPDC’s Specfinish magazine, and the regular email newsletter that is sent to subscribers, entries began to flow in soon after the site went live.
