British Oil Security Syndicate (BOSS) is an independent, not-for-profit trade association that campaigns to reduce crime on Britain’s service station forecourts. BOSS works in partnership with the police forces, fuel retailers and a range of other key crime-fighting agencies. We were asked to produce its annual review that would highlight its achievements and encourage retailers and police forces to work with them to reduce crime on forecourts.
The BOSS annual review is a great showcase for the organisation to highlight its achievements and set out the benefits of its crime-fighting forecourt schemes, helping to build new working relationships and increase customer sign-ups.
To get the point across, we wrote succinct and informative copy to persuade police, fuel retailers, oil companies and other potential industry partners of the value of the work BOSS does.
We created a visual style for the review that blends the distinctive yellow and black BOSS identity with the iconic branding of its oil company members, using a mix of striking graphics and high quality forecourt photography.
The printed booklets were treated with a matt laminated cover, including oil company logos in a glossy spot UV finish, giving the BOSS annual review a premium look and feel.
