Campbell Marsh worked with the Department of Energy and Climate Change to organise a high-profile ‘eco tour’ of Coventry for Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change, Rt Hon Gregory Barker MP.
The day started with the official opening ceremony of a £3 million, world class eco-housing scheme in Bell Green, Coventry and concluded with a roundtable debate with special guests from Coventry and Warwickshire LEP and Coventry and Warwickshire’s business community.
The official opening took place in one of the homes which we’ve transformed into a living exhibition of Passivhaus technology. During his visit, Mr Barker met residents at the new scheme as well as members of the project team involved in its development.
In addition to the formal opening, we also arranged for the minister to meet representatives of local organisations instrumental in Coventry’s green agenda. Mr Barker also took part in a roundtable discussion at Coventry University’s Techno Centre then a tour of ACT UK (a 3D simulation training centre).
The event was covered live throughout the day by BBC Midlands Today and on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire radio as well as in key regional newspapers.
Following the event the Department of Energy and Climate Change wrote to thank Campbell Marsh for ‘the great events you’ve put together for the minister. He was delighted and very impressed’.
