Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (KCTMO) is responsible for the management of nearly 10,000 homes on behalf of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. KCTMO required a a campaign to increase resident engagement in their governance.
Kensington & Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) came to us asking for help to boost the numbers of its residents getting involved in governance of the organisation.
During the previous few years there had been a lack of interest and enthusiasm so we had a think about how the TMO could boost its resident engagement. What we came up with was the ‘Get on board’ campaign. Drawing inspiration from the iconic imagery of London’s transport network, including the world famous Routemaster bus and Underground map, we created a set of literature to encourage residents to… get on board.
The TMO held a series of roadshows on its estates during the second half of the year to promote the Get on board campaign. To help draw the crowds, we produced a mock bus stop and large visual of the red bus on portable banners. The initiative was an instant hit, resulting in the TMO having already received several hundred enquiries from interested residents.
