The Savoy reopens its doors
The Savoy reopened its doors on 10 October 2010 (10-10-10). And to coincide with the opening Campbell Marsh secured an exclusive feature in the leading industry magazine, Building, for main contractor, Chorus Group.
Chorus Group was responsible for one of the most ambitious restorations in British hotel history. The Savoy closed in December 2007 for a refurbishment of the entire building from the iconic entrance and the American Bar to Savoy Grill and the 268 guestrooms and suites. The Savoy’s refurbishment includes the complete remodelling of the legendary River Restaurant, the addition of a luxurious new two-bedroom Royal Suite and 38 River Suites and Guestrooms with stunning views over the River Thames.
During December 2010 the story featured in a special ITV documentary, The Savoy.
