Transforming a home into a low energy, low carbon exhibition

Campbell Marsh has transformed one of Orbit’s new homes at its Passivhaus development at Sampson Close, Coventry, into a show home and living display of Passivhaus technology. This house is called The Naked House.
The Naked House has become a focal point for demonstrating low energy, low carbon housing solutions to key stakeholder groups including: central government, local authorities, housing associations, private developers, building supply chain and local and national media. It has also been used to engage with the local community including schools, colleges, universities and voluntary organisations.
As part of the exhibition Campbell Marsh devised static and interactive displays to create both a show home and a meeting venue. Displays included a touchy feely box and a full scale mock-up wall section, which came all the way from Germany, to demonstrate the different components that make up the super insulated walls of the homes.
